"My administration is focused on ensuring that the money we receive from the federal recovery bill is used to position Vermont for economic success, especially in the areas of telecommunications, health information technology, and transportation," said Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas today. Douglas announced that he will be traveling the state meeting with community leaders, business owners and residents as part of his "Road to Recovery" tour.

"Vermonters are hurting as the global, national and local economies continue to decline," said Douglas in a release. "We must do all we can here in Vermont to put our state on the road to recovery. We do that by ensuring state government, like families and businesses, lives within its means."
