Cloud Email Helps North Carolina Work Like an Enterprise

North Carolina is in the process of moving all state employees to a single cloud-based email system, with the final agencies making the transition in the next six months. At the NASCIO mid-year conference in Alexandria, Va., CIO Chris Estes said the cloud allows North Carolina to operate as a true enterprise. For example, in the past the governor couldn’t see the calendars of the different cabinet secretaries. Now, having everyone working under one email instance allows for better coordination.
