Montreal takes great pride in its public transportation system. The city's subway system is quiet, beautiful and extensive. The bus system is efficient and user-friendly, and the city is supporting on-going research to develop tools to improve transportation services, including linking transit operational data to a road network using a transportation object-oriented GIS.
