People love to have that view, high atop a bluff, looking out at some body of water — the ocean perhaps? The one thing I know is that if it isn’t granite that you’re perched on, at some point in the future there could be trouble.
In this instance, it is just a bluff with no houses perched atop or being threaten below — or so it seems. Note the geologist’s warning about the future. Rain, rising oceans and gravity will all play a part in land movement. Remember, land movement is not covered by your homeowner’s insurance policy!
