COVID-19: World's Nations by Population

This puts the number of cases of coronavirus in perspective.

When you hear about the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths by country, it is good to put it in context with the size of the nation's population.

See this website for the pure population numbers, Countries in the world by population (2020).

But, also look at the median age and the fertility rate. You can see that Japan and Germany have an aging population. Who will take care of all those old people? Note, Japan has no inbound migration.

I also think that India may well be the country with the most coronavirus deaths, just based on population and not as mature a medical capability as China.
