I had met this guy earlier this year.

I was back at EMI for a speaking engagement earlier this year and had the opportunity to meet Rev. Jamie Johnson, DHS Head of Faith-based and Neighborhood Preparedness. Then today, I see he resigned when his previous comments were discovered.

We had chatted briefly. I started talking with him about how maybe I could do an interview with him for this blog. At that point, he opened his mouth and I discovered he didn't know much about our business. Thus, I inquired how he got the job (which he no longer has). Naturally, he had worked on the Trump campaign, and there was something about being connected with the NRA and gun ownership as an issue.

Basically an empty suit when it came to the business of emergency management and homeland security. Maybe the next person nominated for the position will have a better background and be passionate about disaster preparedness for our faith-based and neighborhoods, or not ...
