King County, Wash., is about the size of Rhode Island and has twice the population of that state. Seattle is the largest city in the county.

I had the opportunity to conduct a Disaster Zone TV Interview with Brendan McCluskey, the relatively new director of Emergency Management for King County. To show you how much change has happened since I left there in 2007, almost 13 years ago: There have been six acting or permanent six directors and only one staff member from my era remains working there. Lots of transitions!

Basically a totally new organization blazing a path forward.
