In a disaster, emergency management is about information, coordination and logistics. This, therefore, is a key position when disaster strikes, Emergency Logistics Coordinator (Emergency Management Program Specialist 2) To the best of my knowledge here in Washington state, we are still searching for the holy grail of a logistics system that everyone uses (trusts) and meshes together, local, state and federal agencies in order to move people, equipment and supplies during a disaster.

If you think others have solved the issue, see 20,000 pallets of bottled water left untouched in storm-ravaged Puerto Rico.
