The 2014 Best of the Web winners share collective insights to be used as a resource for state and local government agencies in website planning going forward.
The Center for Digital Government announced winners of its Best of the Web (BOW) and Digital Government Achievement Awards (DGAA), honoring city, county, and state websites and applications from all levels of government.
Since the last biennial survey in 2012, grades improved in 21 states, declined in 12 and stayed even in 17. Connecticut, Georgia, Missouri and Virginia moved up to A grades and Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Utah maintained their A marks from 2012.
Idaho and Connecticut take home "most improved" honors in the 2014 Digital States Survey, while other states are singled out for technology success in specific program areas.
