Numerous governments will likely allow taxpayers to pay fees via mobile devices as mobile payment processing technology takes off in the near future, but will this create a new attack vector for criminals to exploit?

Security experts at this year’s RSA conference shared differing opinions on how dangerous this new area would be.

One one hand, criminals will be excited about a new avenue for them to conduct mischief, but on the other, mobile payment mechanisms could emerge as relatively secure technology is developers keep security in mind when they deploy it.
