Ransomware Attacks Are Continuing

Experts predict ransomware attacks will cost $20 billion by the end of 2021.

Ransomware is on the rise and shows no signs of slowing down.

Because ransomware is becoming harder to avoid, the security experts at Infrascale, a data protection company, put together a list of tips for organizations that may be compromised by ransomware:

  1. Capture the ransomware message
  2. Don’t automatically pay the ransom
  3. Conduct a cost-benefit analysis
  4. Understand whether the issue is encrypting ransomware or screen-locking ransomware
  5. Move quickly to limit the threat
