The City of Anderson Police Department is a member of the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Wilson was arrested on one count of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor, a felony offense punishable to ten years imprisonment, and one count of Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct With a Minor, a felony offense punishable to twenty years imprisonment.
Arrest warrants allege that Wilson began online "chats" on December 20, 2006, with a person he believed to be a twelve year old girl. In reality, he was communicating with an undercover Anderson Police Officer.
Wilson further arranged to meet the "girl" for sex at a predetermined location in Anderson. He was arrested upon his arrival at that location the same day.
Wilson is currently on probation for a prior criminal offense. McMaster stressed that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
