Nebraska State Patrol IT Manager Terry Pell (L) receives award from Gov. Heineman

Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman presented Manager of the Year and Employee of the Year honors to four members of the Nebraska State Patrol. Nebraska State Patrol Troop B Captain Brad Rice and civilian Information Technology Manager Terry Pell were each honored as Manager of the Year, while Troop E (Scottsbluff) Trooper Ron Kissler and Troop A (Omaha) Investigator Paul Smoot each received Employee of the Year honors.

Civilian Manager of the Year recipient Terry Pell has been with the agency since 1997.  As manager of the Information Technology Division, Pell oversees 14 employees who support more than 700 users.  A dedicated employee who makes himself available 24/7 to handle whatever situation may arise, he took over the role of project manager for the agency's new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system successfully bringing the project on line.  Pell's optimism, dedication, integrity and work ethic are much appreciated.

All four Nebraska State Patrol employees were honored Tuesday, October 23, 2007, during a ceremony at the State Capitol as part of Nebraska Employee Recognition Month.
