Deborah Blyth will be leaving the position to rejoin the private sector, according to Brenda Spector, the agency's marketing communications specialist. Her last day will be Aug. 13.

Chief Customer Officer William Chumley will serve as interim CISO, in addition to his current duties, until a permanent replacement is hired, Spector said.
As CISO, Blyth worked on numerous security initiatives, including helping the OIT and other agencies transition to a remote work force during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Being CISO of the state of Colorado has been the best and most rewarding seven years of my career,” Blyth said in a LinkedIn post encouraging individuals to apply.
As detailed in the job description, qualifications include 15 total years of experience in information technology, with 10 years in information security specifically and five years in an executive-level leadership position for information security.
The job listing also notes that while the position is primarily remote, it must be conducted in Colorado. Additionally, reporting to Denver will sometimes be required.
