(TNS) — The 2nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Albuquerque, N.M., has been delivering electronic devices to certain victims and witnesses so they can testify at online court hearings.

The DA’s office said in a news release Tuesday that victims and witnesses who don’t have internet access or adequate devices are temporarily receiving sanitized cellphones or iPads so they can testify at court hearings, which have primarily been held virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative started in March, the release said.
