(TNS) — The Auglaize County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Office has made some changes in how inmate visitations are handled at the Auglaize County Correctional Center.

According to a news release, people who want to speak with an inmate will do it through video. The video visitation will be comprised of both on-site and off-site video visitation.

The off-site video visitation will allow the convenience of visiting an inmate from the comfort of your own home.

There is a cost associated with the off-site visitation.

Off-site visitation will be conducted daily from 8 to 10:30 a.m., 1 to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 10:30 p.m.

On-site visitation will be held weekly on Saturday and Sunday between 6 and 9 p.m.

Each inmate will add their visitors to the video visitation system.

Corrections staff will approve visitors within five business days. After approval, the inmates may have a video visit. For those without access to a computer, phone or other electronic device, visitors may come into the facility for a video visit by the kiosk. The visit will not be face to face.

All adult visitors must provide photo identification at the time of visit for both off-site and on-site video visitation. All visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian for on-site visits. The legal guardian must provide a birth certificate for the minor. Visitors must be prompt so the visit is not re-scheduled. Please be ready to visit 10 minutes prior to the actual visit.

All video visits must be scheduled online at customer.cidnet.net.
