ARRA Administrative Costs: NASACT Audio Conference

July 8, 2009 By

The National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers (NASACT), the Association of Government Accountants and the Association of Local Government Auditors will conduct an audio conference next Thursday to address ARRA administrative costs. "This monumental legislation placed many additional responsibilities on accountability professionals in state and local governments without designated funding," said NASACT in a release. However, OMB, on May 11, issued guidance which provides flexibility in recovering administrative costs, which "Should enable states to obtain the resources necessary for enhancing their administrative capacity to meet the Recovery Act responsibilities," according to the release. There is a fee for the conference, which is scheduled for Thursday July 16 at 2 p.m. EDT. Contact Pat Hackney for more information.
