Alan Silberberg, our latest GovTech Innovator, uses social media and online technology to enhance citizens’ ability to communicate with the government and access public-sector information. One of his previous projects was You2Gov, a political social network for citizens to reach their politicians.
His current and upcoming projects are designed to create a more politically conscious and connected citizenry. On April 20, he’ll hold the Gov 2.0 LA conference, a forum to bring people from diverse professional backgrounds together to talk about how modern technology can benefit the government..
Silberberg, who also consults with both private-sector companies and the public sector in their use of social media through his company, Silberberg Innovations, spoke to Government Technology about how social media can help government improve citizen relationships.
