Massachusetts Struggles to Attract and Retain IT Employees

Of Massachusetts' roughly 1,600 IT employees -- down from approximately 1,850 just two years ago -- only 32 are under the age of 30, said CIO John Letchford at NASCIO's 2012 Annual Conference, held this week in San Diego. And it's not for a lack of trying. Letchford is proposing reforms to build the IT workforce it needs.
