Philadelphia Creates an Environment for Innovation

The role of chief innovation officer in government is growing, and the job description, scope of work and relationship to tech projects vary widely.

In Philadelphia, for instance, the city is engaging software entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to develop apps that solve community problems -- a project led by Chief Innovation Officer Adel Ebeid. In this video, Ebeid describes city efforts to promote and sustain these activities.
