Hawaii Opts for 14 Days of Disaster Preparedness

They are, after all, an island!

See the preparedness guide that was printed in the Honolulu Star Advertiser, City [and county] releases extensive ‘Hurricane and tropical storm preparedness’ guide.

This is the most recent move to recommend more than three days or 72 hours of personal and family disaster preparedness. Oregon was first in my notebook, followed by the state of Washington after their experience with the 2016 Cascadia Rising Earthquake Exercise that simulated a Cascadia Fault Subduction Earthquake.

My personal disaster preparedness exercise presentations are titled, "No one is coming to help!"
