According to a recent study by the National Center for Health Statistics, what percentage of U.S. households no longer have landline phones?

Answer: 27 percent. The data was gathered from July 2009 to June 2010. Arkansas notched the highest number of households, 35.2 percent, that have eschewed landline phones. Rhode Island, meanwhile, had the lowest number, 12.8 percent.
