How fast can Utah State University's cheese-powered race car go?

Answer: just over 65 mph

The Aggie A-Salt Streamliner, as it’s officially known, reached a speed of just over 65 mph at the Utah Salt Flats Racing Association's 2012 World of Speed event in September, according to Utah State University. The race car runs on yeast biodiesel derived from the industrial waste of cheese production.

Is this supposed to lead to something beyond cheese waste? There's far less cheese waste than oil and gas so wouldn't that be far more costly than gas? If you're an Al Gore fan (I'm thankful that I'm not) think about all that bovine flatulence that might destroy the earth and the spotted owl. I am a fan of space exploration because it leads to greater technoloty and advanced science, but is this cheese waste for fuel leading to anything of actual worth?
