Give a Laptop, Get a Laptop

November 12, 2007 By News Staff

Today marks the beginning of the One Laptop per Child "Give One Get One" program, just in time for the holidays. The XO laptop was specially formulated to be inexpensive and easily mass produced for children around the world.

OLPC's stated mission is to provide a means for learning, self-expression and exploration to the nearly 2 billion children of the developing world with little or no access to education.
Even in areas without Internet access the laptops can connect to each other.

Starting today people who purchase a laptop for a child in a developing nation can receive one for a child here. The cost for the first laptop is tax deductible. This program is only being offered for a limited time.
