Los Angeles County to Get Enhanced Justice Data Mining
In support of 47 law enforcement agencies
Los Angeles County contracted with Cogent to deliver enhanced data mining capabilities to The Los Angeles County Regional Identification System (LACRIS). LACRIS supports all 47 law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles County and is fully integrated with county, state and national criminal justice information systems. On a real-time basis, the LACRIS solution searches a subject database of both rolled and flat prints and achieves high levels of accuracy based on 1,000 ppi resolution. This real-time response enables law enforcement officials to quickly identify individuals when they are arrested and to identify fingerprints that are left at crime scenes.
