The application can be used to make service requests for problems such as potholes, dead animals, graffiti or abandoned vehicles. There is a feature to attach GPS coordinates and photos to service requests. The county’s four commissioner precincts have received more than 6,700 service requests through their websites since May 2011, county CIO Bruce High said, reported chron.com. The deployment of a mobile app will extend the reach of such technology.
The Android app is available now. The Apple version will launch this August. The software won a Best of Texas award from the Center for Digital Government this year.
