Company to Give 50 Websites to Small Water & Sewer Districts

CivicPlus, which makes websites and other communications tools for government, is running the promotion specifically for the smallest water and sewer districts around. The giveaway includes 18 months of hosting.

CivicPlus, one of the biggest website builders for local government in the U.S., is going to give away free websites and 18 months of hosting to 50 small water and sewer districts as a promotion.

The company is opening up its giveaway to water and sewer districts with fewer than 10,000 connections. The 50 winners will choose a template based one of four existing websites, and then CivicPlus will provide content development, unlimited licenses for the content management system, staff training on the new system and 18 months of hosting, support and maintenance.

Smaller districts often lack the ability to pour a lot of resources into their website, CivicPlus CEO Brian Rempe acknowledged in a statement.

“We designed CivicCMS to be an ideal website solution for smaller municipalities and special districts that may not have robust website design and maintenance capabilities in-house,” Rempe said. “We are running this limited-time promotion to help as many water and sewer districts as we can to improve their online presence.”

The entry deadline for the contest is Nov. 1, and winners will be drawn on Nov. 15. The entry form is here.
