CrisisGo’s newest solution, CrisisGo Connect, has been honored as a 2025 AWS Champions Award winner for revolutionizing emergency communication and incident management across community ecosystems. Built entirely on Amazon Web Services (AWS), CrisisGo’s integrated platform empowers public safety agencies, schools, hospitals, and local governments to respond faster, coordinate more effectively, and communicate more clearly in both everyday safety operations and crisis situations.

By delivering secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions, CrisisGo is helping communities across the country build safer, more connected, and more resilient emergency response frameworks.

Project Overview
CrisisGo’s robust suite of tools — GateKeeper, TipLine, Safety Intervention Manager, Safety iResponse, Reunification Manager, and CrisisGo Connect — provides an end-to-end solution for emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. Deployed on AWS, the platform leverages key services to ensure a highly available, secure, and compliant architecture.

Whether managing an active threat, coordinating weather-related evacuations, or reconnecting families after an incident, the platform delivers intuitive, real-time capabilities that unify communication across law enforcement, schools, EMS, trauma centers, and government agencies — even those using disparate systems.

Challenge: Unifying Communication Across Agencies and Systems
Communities face growing challenges in emergency response, especially when coordination must span multiple organizations, devices, and platforms. Prior to implementing CrisisGo, many agencies relied on fragmented tools that made real-time communication, situational awareness, and multi-agency collaboration difficult.

In places like Iowa County, public safety leaders needed a system that could:
  • Instantly notify all community stakeholders
  • Integrate with schools, trauma centers, EMS, and fire departments
  • Standardize communication protocols
  • Provide operational visibility and centralized management for multiple incident types
  • Empower non-public safety organizations with secure, actionable communication tools
The solution needed to go beyond traditional alerts and deliver a community-wide safety network — not just for emergency professionals, but for educators, administrators, and community leaders.

Impact: Faster Response, Broader Engagement, Safer Communities
Since deploying CrisisGo Connect on AWS, public safety agencies have transformed their emergency coordination capabilities:
  • Centralized command & control: One platform to manage simultaneous incidents across different locations and agencies.
  • Real-time interoperability: Integrated communications between diverse partners — regardless of the systems they use.
  • Increased awareness: Share mapped assets, cameras, and utility shut-offs for quicker, more informed decisions.
  • Rapid response: Streamlined workflows and centralized communication reduce response times and improve operational outcomes.
  • Community empowerment: Schools and non-emergency partners can communicate directly with public safety teams, fostering proactive engagement and faster resolution.
  • Long-term resilience: The system strengthens emergency preparedness and enhances the continuity of safety operations across all community institutions.
The results underscore the power of AWS in enabling secure, resilient digital infrastructure that supports life-saving decisions at scale.

“This recognition affirms our mission to build safer, more connected communities through innovation and collaboration. By leveraging the power of AWS, we’ve created a unified platform that empowers schools, public safety, and government agencies to act with speed, clarity, and purpose when it matters most.” — Jim Spicuzza, Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder, CrisisGo
