“The service is built on an industry leading, enterprise-class, commercial .NET product deployed in a fault tolerant, high availability N-Tier architecture including back-up services,” said an announcement on the California Department of Technology’s website. “Advantages of CA Web Publishing Service include automatic template updates whenever a new State web template is released, OTech-provided training, and a lower cost derived from shared architecture and economy of scale compared to multiple independent website deployments.”
The new service will launch by the end of the year. Future updates will include additional social media integration and advanced analytics, among other features.
A division of the California Department of Technology, OTech provides networking and data center services to state and local client agencies in California. Recently OTech launched CalCloudin response to increasing demand for cloud computing infrastructure among government users.
