With the advent of the Internet of Things and ubiquitous computing, the volume of data sources feeding into government systems will only continue to grow. At the NASCIO Midyear Conference held last week in Baltimore, Washington state CIO Michael Cockrill talked to Government Technology about the challenges faced by the public sector, and why cloud services must be part of the solution.
