iPass Wins Networking and Communications Supplier of the Year at the Computing Awards 2006

Award based on votes by the readers of Computing and a panel of accredited judges

iPass Inc. has been named "Networking and Communications Supplier of the Year" at the Computing Awards 2006. iPass was nominated for the award along with several other industry leaders. Doug Loewe, vice president & managing director, EMEA and Asia, collected the award at a gala dinner on the 25th of October in the Battersea Park Events Arena in London, England.

"iPass is focused on unifying connectivity and device management across remote, home and mobile locations. Over the past year the company has worked to maximize the connectivity choices and flexibility available to customers. This has included developing mobile data partnerships, building the world's largest Wi-Fi roaming network, and broadening our support for popular mobile devices such as smartphones," said Loewe. "Workforce mobility has become a critical success factor for productivity and business success, and this award recognizes that fact. We are honored by this award as it acknowledges all the hard work put in by staff and partners over the past twelve months."

Voted for by the readers of Computing and a panel of accredited judges, the Networking and Communications Supplier of the Year award is presented to the vendor which is considered to provide the best quality, value-for-money and innovative networking or communications products.

With a record number of over 250 companies entering this year, the Computing Awards are regarded as one of the largest and most respected events of their kind. The awards recognize organizations that have contributed to the development and deployment of innovative IT systems and improve business operations or enhance public services.
