North Dakota Legalizes (Non Lethal) Armed Police Drones

This is the first evidence I've seen of this type of authorization.

I added the "non-lethal" to the title so that people doing in-depth research on the topic of drones by just reading the headlines did not get the wrong message. Here is the actual article, North Dakota Legalizes Armed Police Drones.

The biggest hurdle that government has with drones is the citizen push-back about police use. Giving police some options is not a totally bad idea. When Dallas police took out the sniper there who was shooting police using a bomb robot it was a first-time, in my memory, that a robot was used in such a proactive lethal encounter. The action certainly protected against the potential for future police casualties.

There is certainly more dialog and legal challenges to come on the use of drones in policing.
