A Checklist for Reopening Churches After the Pandemic

Some guidelines to help you have a process.

I have shared some information recently on workers returning to the office and how businesses are planning for that, but what about churches? These are settings that would have been high risk in the midst of the pandemic with singing being one thing to be avoided to keep the spread of the virus from getting out of control.

There are tens of thousands of churches in the United States and around the world. See the item below for some basic guidelines that you might want to use as you re-institute church services in the coming days, weeks, months, etc.

This information came from the Humanitarian Disaster Institute:

Follow the checklist as you reopen your church

How is your church reopening process going? We’re grateful to hear that many churches are experiencing joyous reunions with their congregations as they begin to gather together for the first time in a year (or more). We also grieve with the churches experiencing congregational strife and logistical difficulties as they prepare to reopen their campuses. Our resources and checklist can help you continue enhancing what’s going well and pivot away from what isn’t working. Download the checklist and browse additional resources.
