Climate Change Impacts--One Small Village at a Time

When it happens where you live, it becomes important.

There are plenty of climate change impacts being heralded across the globe. Usually it is the metropolitan areas or coastal beaches of large prosperous nations that get the media attention. The small island nations in the Pacific and other regions of the world may be screaming about the impacts they are seeing to their lands, but the voices are muted by the size of the populations being impacted.

However, when it is your property, your house, your family that is seeing the consequences, it is every bit as important as a Miami beach family with a multi-million dollar home.

These types of stories are being repeated again and again. When global leaders next meet about climate change there is sure to be some sessions addressing the plight of small island nations that are rapidly losing ground on which to live.
