COVID-19: Virus Records Are Falling

Are we playing golf or bowling?

Depending on the sport, sometimes the low score wins, but usually it is the high score that separates the winners from the losers. Right now as a nation we are losers!

Three records fell recently:

  • Total number of cases, 200,000 in a day
  • Total number of deaths, almost 2,760 in a single day
  • 100,000 COVID-19 hospitalizations in a single day
These are not the records we want to be setting. Right now we are up to over 275,000 deaths from the coronavirus, and the pace we are on will have us breaking 300,000 in less than 10 days. By Christmas we could easily be approaching or over 325,000 deaths, likely more.

On the cusp of having vaccines approved and vaccinations starting, we are entering our darkest period of the pandemic here in America.

Wear a mask, wash your hands, social distance, and limit your activities outside your home — if you can.
