Disaster Zone Podcast: A New Approach to Cybersecurity Training for Employees

You might rethink how you have been conducting cybersecurity training.

In the past I have had to complete mandatory cybersecurity training. It can take many forms, but mostly it is all online these days and you work through a series of presentation slides and perhaps a few questions that you need to answer. This training used to be primarily accomplished annually, but now it can be semi-annual to make it more frequent.

I sometimes refer to this type of training as “check the box” training that is required and people drag themselves through. You might find the approach discussed in this Disaster Zone podcast a refreshing change: “A New Approach to Cybersecurity Training for Employees.”

Employee engagement and retention of the information provided along with more frequent engagement on the topic of cybersecurity is necessary.
