FEMA Won’t Pay for Heat Disasters — for Now

There will be funding in the future, trust me!

What will the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) pay to either individuals or governments due to heat emergencies? For now, it sounds like nothing, but ...

There was a time when FEMA did not provide any funding for snowstorms either! And those are now on the list of disasters mentioned as being covered in the article below. Trust me, heat events will get some form of FEMA coverage, because that is what we do. Someone needs to pay and the only entity with deep pockets is the federal government.

One more really big heat dome event with hundreds of deaths will push this issue over the line! Here’s the article: “FEMA program for heat waves rejected a cooling center.”
