Job: Crisis Information Systems Coordinator

A new type of job for the 21st Century.

The typical emergency management professional position might be called program coordinator, program manager, program specialist, with more descriptive adjectives like planner, exercise, operations, etc.

Here is a position,Crisis Information Systems Coordinator, that is with the Capital Area Council of Governments. Note this is one is providing technical systems support. More and more will be expected of general emergency management positions to be able to interact with technology. There might be these types of positions in the future, but everyone will have to have some ability to interface with and operate in a much more technology driven environment.
