Life After a COVID-19 Vaccine

Don't think 'endure,' think 'adapt'!

My wife and I were discussing tonight over the dinner table what it will be like once a vaccine(s) is available and widely distributed. We don't think that it will be like, "OK, now we can get back to normal." In this case, it will be a new normal, maybe fewer bowling alleys since many will have gone out of business, for instance.

See this article, Experts Predict What Life Will Be Like After A COVID-19 Vaccine Arrives.

It is an excellent piece that I did not find anything to disagree with. No vaccine is 100 percent effective, and no one is claiming that level of efficacy in the various news releases claiming "great progress." Likely it will be much more like the annual flu vaccine that has 40-60 percent effectiveness. And, what if the virus does mutate?

No matter what, we are in this for the long haul. This is not something to endure, but rather we must adapt to it.
