I am in agreement with him that individual people do have more power, especially when they work in concert with other individuals. I think we are starting to see this happen with Generation Z over the school shootings and taking on the NRA. I could be wrong, but I think the NRA senses it too. The tipping point is coming, maybe not in 2017, but the NRA has likely reached its zenith of power and the future will only see its influence atrophy.
NERC, FERC, BERC
How the electrical grid manages itself.
Michael Mabee shared this link with me, What You Can Do to Secure the [electrical] Grid. He explains the relationship of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) at the above link (there is no BERC — I made that up). The scary part is the industry is supervising itself. Kind of like a kid setting his own allowance from his parents. Likely this blog post will not be "live" until sometime on Feb. 26, so it is not so much this issue Michael has highlighted as informing you about how the "system for regulation of the electrical industry works."
