Should We Add Extraterrestrial Beings to Our Hazards List?

Yes, little green men.

Has Holdeman lost his mind? Maybe. Check with my wife since she has the best inventory of insane ideas I’ve had in the past.

This could be the longest article I've ever read from The New Yorker magazine: “How the Pentagon Started Taking U.F.O.s Seriously.” If you are a slow reader, allow a lot of time to get through it.

What got me thinking is what would happen in our society if there was a well-known extraterrestrial/outer space/alien type of encounter here on earth. You have to admit that would be some kind of event that would turn people and our world topsy-turvy.

There would be a run on guns for sure. And who knows what else. People would certainly buy a bunch of toilet paper if the pandemic has taught us anything about our disaster preparedness values.

Fortunately for the world and our future, what I think or know means little when it comes to “little green men.” My recommendation: The best course of action is to keep the version of your hazards list that has this topic on it secret from your boss — if you want to keep your job.
