The New National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) 2013 is Posted

There is a link to the plan and also associated materials related to the NIPP

DHS is rolling out the revised National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) 2013  At their home page for the NIPP they explain the improvements:

"NIPP 2013 represents an evolution from concepts introduced in the initial version of the NIPP released in 2006 and revised in 2009. The National Plan is streamlined and adaptable to the current risk, policy, and strategic environments. It provides the foundation for an integrated and collaborative approach to achieve the vision of: "[a] Nation in which physical and cyber critical infrastructure remain secure and resilient, with vulnerabilities reduced, consequences minimized, threats identified and disrupted, and response and recovery hastened."

And, they go on to say:

"The NIPP 2013 builds on the effective practices used by both public and private sector partners over the past several years, and provides the foundation to strengthen our partnership structures, enhance our risk management efforts, and motivate participation through a Call-To-Action that will help implement and achieve the National objectives described in Presidential Policy Directive-21 Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience.  It reflects input provided as part of the development process that took place over the past year.  Partners are encouraged to review NIPP 2013 and supplemental information on the DHS Web page at the following links."
