Colorado Hosts Webinar on COVID-19 for Businesses

(TNS) - Colorado business leaders are invited to a Thursday morning webinar focused on COVID-19 resources for businesses.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in partnership with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment is hosting “Business and COVID: Where do we go from here?”

The webinar is scheduled from 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday for business leaders throughout the state to learn about the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act and public health emergency leave, according to release from all three agencies. The webinar will additionally shine light on business success stories during the pandemic, as well as resources to share with employees.

Nikki Maloney, Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade’s interim director of the Business Support Division will moderate the webinar with professional panelists. Panelists include:

* Louise Vaughn, vice president for HR, IT and Vehicles for Charity for Arc Thrift Stores

* Eric Yohe, outreach program manager for the Division of Labor Standards and Statistics at Colorado Department of Labor and Employment

* Scott Bookman, director for the Division of Disease Control and Public Health Response and COVID-19 incident commander at Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment.

Attendees will also be able to participate in a Q&A segment at the webinar.

“This event is a great resource for branch managers and franchise owners as well as medium to small business owners looking to understand what is next for the state’s pandemic response,” the release said.
