Mass Casualty Asthma Event

This is a new one for me

While I've been at this emergency thing for some time, this is a new one for me. See Emergency services declare 'major disaster' after mass 'thunderstorm asthma' event.

The challenge of this "Mass casualty event" is that it happened not in one location, but all over a region. We have plans for marshaling resources at a scene and triaging patients at a single location. This event would have been much more difficult to allocate resources to and I'm sure it took a bit to figure out just what was going on in the community.

I share it here so that you might have this tucked in back of your memory if a similar event might happen in your own community, region or state.
