Op-ed: Lessons from the Fizzle in the Drizzle

Lessons from the windstorm that wasn't.

It was only a week ago that the Puget Sound region was staring down the barrel of a big windstorm that was about to blow our way on Saturday. But the storm stayed out to sea and we were spared, after much hyping of how bad it would be.

See my op-ed in Crosscut that points out a couple of lessons learned from that non-event, one of which could be negative for a future storm, just ask Atlanta. See The real lessons from the Fizzle in the Drizzle.

Note that I had a couple of other points to be made, but the editor wanted a more focused piece without the distraction of numerous issues. On that note, if you want to be published, work with an editor and give them what they want.
