Weekly Threat Analysis Briefing

Now in Beta Test Mode--Ready for you to use

I don't know about you, but I love summaries of what is going on in the world of emergency management. I get a daily missive from FEMA, another world-wide round-up of "big disasters" and now you can get delivered to your "in box" on Mondays the Weekly Threat Analysis Briefing.

David Wild, Indiana University, sent me the email (text) below:

"Hope things are going well for you! I'm still very much enjoying the Disaster Zone blog, and starting to develop research in "data driven" emergency management at Indiana University.

I just wanted to share something I’m doing that might be of interest to you or your readers, called the AllHazards Threat Analysis Briefing. This is a manually curated briefing with national scope produced every Monday morning covering all hazards upcoming for that week - weather, natural hazards, cybersecurity, technological hazards, etc. It’s aimed at emergency managers, responders, and the general public. The format is a PDF with executive summary, so it is easy to read, with plenty of visuals so it’s meant to be easy to scan for threats relevant to particular areas.

It’s currently in beta-test mode, and I'm looking for people to sign up (for free) to try it out. Please feel free to share with anyone else who you think might be interested -- anyone can sign up at http://allhazards.net."

He has a YouTube video (see below) where he walks through the elements of the weekly summary. I like things that I can scan quickly and get back to work. It seems to me that this might be helpful--so, I'm going to try it on for size.
