The township kicked off the livestream at its planning board scheduled for Thursday night. Officials then plans to livestream and record the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Zoning Board on Monday.

(TNS) — In addition to livestreaming and recording its council meetings, township officials announced Wednesday it will also livestream and record its zoning board and planning board meetings.

"We want the business of government to be as transparent and accessible as possible for all members of our community," Evesham Mayor Jaclyn Veasy said in a statement. "Through the township's use of modern technology and forward thinking, we want to make it easier than ever for members of our community to remain informed citizens."

The township kicked off the livestream at its planning board scheduled for Thursday night. The township then plans to livestream and record the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Evesham Zoning Board on Monday at 7 p.m.

If this initiative is successful, township officials believe future planning and zoning board meetings thereafter can also be regularly scheduled for livestreaming and recording. All livestreams and recorded meetings can be viewed on the Evesham municipal website at evesham-nj.org.
