In addition to an ankle device worn by a gang member with a rubber strap containing a built-in fiber optic wire that immediately notifies the Monitor if the strap is tampered with in any way, Sky Detective can track the offender's vehicle's movement through the internet with set pre-determined inclusion and exclusion zones.
Sky Detective can "zone" known gang areas that notify the Monitor and/or parole supervisor and law enforcement agencies immediately by email, cell phone text, cell phone voice alert or fax if the offender has entered these locations, allowing law enforcement to take immediate action at precise locations. The offender's movement data, including violations of inclusion or exclusion zones, is stored for the review of the offender's conduct. This enables law enforcement to place the offender at the exact same place at the exact same time as a crime, such as a drive-by shooting, has occurred without the need of a witness or informant. Unlike typical GPS monitoring devices, Sky Detective's devices can locate in heavily obstructed environments, like buildings, tunnels, heavy foliage, between skyscrapers, or in large residences, and it is a stand-alone device that requires no other equipment to track offender's nationwide. With 0% false alerts, there are no wasted responses to the offender's location.
The media is beginning to take interest in this revolutionary solution. Television News Channel 6 in Boise, Idaho did a full feature story on the Gang Tracker, which aired November 8, 2007. Sky Detective was previously featured on Fox 12 News in Boise, Idaho.
"Sky Detective believes it has found the 'remedy' to cure the disease called gangs," says Vice President of Sales Tim Benson, a seasoned Former Los Angeles Gang Investigator. Gangs are a disease that has been spreading uncontrollably across this country.
Sky Detective is currently in discussions with law enforcement agencies around the country, including many in California, on how to implement this new, innovative and cutting-edge solution.
The story can currently be viewed at www.kivitv.com under Special Reports titled Gang Tracker, Inc. and will soon be featured on the company website www.skydetective.com.
