Expansion of Advanced Technology Park

City of Toledo announces expansion of Advanced Technology Park

City of Toledo Mayor Jack Ford and Dr. Frank McCullough, president of the Medical College of Ohio, announced the expansion of the Advanced Technology Park of Northwest Ohio, pending Toledo City Council's approval of a $200,000 allocation of the city of Toledo's two percent dollars for the project.

This money is set aside for sanitary sewer and water improvements and can be used for economic development projects such as the Advanced Technology Park, which is located adjacent to MCO and in close proximity to the University of Toledo.

The 233-acre site, bounded by Arlington, Detroit and Glendale Avenues, is being developed by public and private sector business investment.

The Ohio Department of Development has committed $300,000 from their roadway development fund. The Regional Technology Alliance of Northwest Ohio, with assistance from the Regional Growth Partnership, has helped with the coordination of this project.

City Council President Peter Ujvagi, Gov. Taft's Regional Representative Wes Fahrbach, and RGP President Don Jakeway will be present and will offer comments on the expansion of the Advanced Technology Park.
