In addition, elements can now have "null" values (i.e., no data content between the start and end tag), and the Schema Subset Generation Tool (SSGT) now supports multiple versions of the Global JXDM. In addition, Global JXDM 3.0.1 will continue to be compatible with all future versions the data model.

New data model to be compatible with future revisions
The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) and the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative have released Global JXDM 3.0.1, a newer version of the Global Justice Extensible Markup Language (XML) Data Model. Version 3.0.1 of the Global JXDM includes functionality that lays the groundwork for local, state and national justice interoperability.
